The Meridian Hall is ideally located within the magnificent parkland grounds of East Court, only minutes away from the Town Centre and railway station. The hall layout and design takes full advantage of the magnificent panoramic view down through East Court to Ashdown Forest in the distance. The enclosed paved piazza area which is for the exclusive use of hirers of the hall fully complements the unique setting.
The Meridian Hall has been carefully designed to integrate with the magnificent Grade II listed East Court Mansion which is immediately adjacent. Great care has been taken to ensure sympathetic architectural design throughout, and the needs of users, including the disabled, have been taken fully into account.
The Meridian Hall is equipped with air conditioning and sound equipment. The kitchen is well equipped and the separate bar facilities ensure easy management and operation of a full range of function catering requirements.
Hirers have the option of using one of the Town Council’s approved caterers or self-catering. All of our approved caterers have established reputations for outstanding quality, customer service and value for money.
This multi-purpose hall, with its principal accommodation all on a level ground floor, is particularly suited for the following types of hire and the hall management will be pleased to tailor specific events and functions to the needs of each hirer:

The Hall can accommodate up to 220 for conferences/lectures, 160 for dinner/dances and wedding receptions and 200 when used for dancing alone.
